Comparison of Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM and EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM with Canon D-60

These photographs demonstrate lens performance under outside ambient light. Slightly better contrast, color, and image detail were obtained with the EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 DO IS USM lens for the building and sign photographs. The water hyacinth image has significant lighting variations between exposures, and the water hyacinth was moving with variable slight wave action off the lake (making comparison in image sharpness difficult). Images were enlarged to 10x15 inch tifs from RAW files prior to being cropped to show details of the images and converted to jpgs.
